Building | Marketing Support for Regulated Industries
What I'm building
In my nights and weekends, I'm exploring a problem in regulated content creation.
When companies in highly regulated industries (pharma, finance, etc.) create content, every factual claim needs to be substantiated with a citation. This sounds simple, but the workflow is brutal:
- Writers draft content with dozens of claims
- Editors manually search literature databases for supporting sources
- Each claim gets annotated with metadata (author, journal, year, page, figure)
- The whole thing goes through compliance review
- Feedback comes back, and the cycle repeats
Today, this involves multiple disconnected tools, offshore teams doing manual annotation, and a lot of time spent on formatting rather than thinking.
I'm exploring whether AI can collapse this workflow - automatically detecting claims, finding supporting sources, and generating properly formatted annotations. The goal isn't to replace human judgment on what's true or compliant, but to eliminate the tedious plumbing so people can focus on the actual content.
This strikes me as a creative exercise where there's nuanced and taste that humans provide – but that's currently blurred with the more rote research and judgement required to support those outputs.
Still early. More to share as I learn.
